Album cover image features Ruth Kane in the forest preserve at the Friday Harbor Labs on San Juan Island.

Initial recordings began at the Whiteley Center on San Juan Island in December 2022. Compiling, editing, and mixing occurred in Fall 2023.

This album is the result of a short retreat studying intimacy and field recordings, and an extension of previous water studies. The majority of the source material was recorded during an extreme weather event involving ice, snow, and rain, with massive flooding on the island, in conjunction with coastal sounds.

The album was created using Ableton Live.
